[ORIGINALS]

The [uan] duo presents a brand new project with six composers who couldn't have written better for them. The duo has set the goal of creating new works - the saxophone is still such a young instrument, and the repertoire is not yet very large. Therefore, with this project, ORIGINALS, the [uan] duo wants to make a new beginning, with new composers and new music!

There is still so much to discover in the saxophone field, and this is a first step to explore new worlds. The result are four great new works, dedicated to the [uan] duo, and Anda porí Fraita, in a refreshing whole form full of variety.

ORIGINALS, tells the story of these two soundexplorers, Hannah and Nuno, that for the last two years incessantly jumped from one collaboration to the other, meeting along the way unique composers. With them, they explored the possibilities of using two saxophones, two voices and two bodies to create [uan] performance. In January 2024, this project has been recorded on [uan]'s debut album.

ORIGINALS is meant to be [uan] experience, our experience.
